For $20, guests will be able to enjoy all the Fleet exhibits, hors d'oeuvres by Stone Brewery, a complimentary specialty cocktail, chocolate tastings by Eclipse Chocolat, and a beer and chocolate pairing by Stone Brewery. |  The Ackerman Foundation has awarded full funding of $10,000 for a new program, AIMS (Art Integrated with Math and Science), developed by Fleet Inquiry Institute (FII) Director Cristina Trecha. AIMS is a unique opportunity to add to the core workshops offered through our FII workshops for teacher professional development, as well as to partner with other museums to enhance our park-wide collaborations. |  Have you ever wondered if there are other solar systems? Astronomers have discovered planets around other stars, referred to as extrasolar planets. Join us to learn about these solar systems and get an update about Mars rover Curiosity. They've kicked the tires, dusted off the lenses, blasted some rocks with the ChemCam and it's now on the move from Bradbury Landing to Mount Sharp. |  Harness girl power as 5th-8th graders build a basic wind turbine to perform a variety of experiments and wind demonstrations in this eco-friendly "green" workshop! They will investigate blade design, electrical output and much, much, more to cool off the end-of-summer heat! Our monthly club invites girls to investigate exciting science topics in an array of fields, including biology, chemistry, engineering, environmental science, physics, robotics and much more! Each session is filled with new challenges, hands-on activities and interaction with local women scientists.
