Eco-Friendly Living Christmas Tree Rental

SAN DIEGO – For San Diegans looking for an environmentally-friendly way to decorate their homes this holiday season, The Living Christmas Company is now an option.

The company’s unique Christmas Tree rental program has been a popular choice amongst some Southern California residents and the service has been expanded to San Diego County this year. The Living Christmas Company is seeking to “change the way that California celebrates Christmas,” and offers a number of eco-friendly options for the holiday.

The tree program consists of live, potted Christmas tree available for rent. Company officials say the price to rent one of their trees is comparable to having a traditional cut tree delivered to a home, ranging between $95 and $140, plus delivery.

Trees range from 6 to 9 feet tall, and can be rented for homes or businesses. The company also offers a number of eco-friendly ornaments and lights to decorate the tree, along with stocking stuffers and other gifts.

The Living Christmas Tree says that it is easy to rent a tree, and it can be done in three steps:

1. Customers select from the multiple tree types and sizes, and schedule the delivery and pickup of their tree – all online.

2. The tree is then delivered by jolly elves on the date specified by the customer.

3. Three weeks later (also on the customer’s specified date), singing elves will pick up the tree and take it back to the nursery to be nurtured until next year or planted out in the environment.

“As we do every year, the elves have been busy in the off-season improving our system to create better customer service,” said Scott “Scotty Claus” Martin, founder and CEO of The Living Christmas Tree. “We saw an opportunity with the family centered San Diego region and are happy to announce we will be able to handle delivery in that area this year. It’s exciting because not only are we meeting our mission; we’re also bringing the opportunity for more folks to begin a family tradition more in-line with their values.”
